Strawbale construction using prefabricated modular blocks; Bala-Box
Twonatural elements, straw and wood creates this building block, for a healthy and efficient construction. The pressed straw gives it great insulation and the wood, the structure, obtaining a system that with a single element we have, enclosure, , structure and isolation .
The strawbale is inserted with a press in the box with a great pressure to improve structural performance and insulation. By introducing the strawbale from side, we achieved the same isolation as if it were lying , because the position of the fiber, reducing the thickness of the wall.
Then, they are stacked in assembling way, as if they were big bricks, and after put them together with screws or nails in a simple process that can be performed by one person without major mechanical means.
Once finished this wall may be coated with clay or lime mortar or with various types of panels, fixing in a simple manner to wooden structure.
Product 100% natural
This made materials 100% natural and 100% recyclable. Straw is also a waste material, surplus, to which it gives new uses.
